Whats Happening with the Food
1/10/11
The chefs are once again putting their heads together and working on some new ideas for the summer menu options, we try to keep our menus ever evolving so that they always have a new challenge in the kitchen and so you the diner has a ever changing selection of dishes to chose from keeping the menus interesting.
The day chefs have been trying lots of new ideas in the food cabinet as well.
We are always trying to evolve with our food as we like to stay fresh and interesting with what we are offering to our customers.
I will keep you all posted on menu developments.

Winter Refresh

Yes we have been busy with a total interior repaint, nothing like a freshen up. We have all new carpet upstairs, so we are all ready for winter with the fire going down stairs on those cooler days.
Dont forget that the upstairs area is a great place for those larger group bookings or a meeting and a nibble catching up with friends.

Tohu Wines
Tohu (pronounced Tor-who) is the world's first Maori owned wine company. Since 1998, we've been making our mark on the world with wines produced from New Zealand's premier grape growing regions: Marlborough and Nelson.
The wines are a superb example of varietal excellence with a unique and distinct appeal. Yet they are more than a product of our skill as winemakers. Tohu (meaning sign or signature) wines are a sign of our integrity as wine producers and custodians of the rugged yet fertile soils of our country Aotearoa, New Zealand.
Sauvignon 2010
This is a single vineyard wine sourced from our Awatere Valley estate and is packed with powerful flavours of gooseberry, tomato leaf and passionfruit
Pinot Gris 2010
This crisp dry style of Pinot Gris comes from our Whenua Vineyard in Nelson. Concentrated and with abundant fruit purity, the nose and palate show melons, apples and pears along with a touch of exotic spices.
Pinot Noir 2009
Aged in new and one year old French barrels, this soft and silky wine shows plums and cherries on the nose with savoury oak and a long and attractive finish.
